Hola a tothom,

Em dic Anton i sóc un voluntari d’Alemanya treballant a Fupar.

Així que em toca escriure l’article d’aquesta setmana.
L’última vegada que vaig fer això, crec que només feia 3 setmanes que començava el projecte i des de llavors algunes coses han canviat.
En aquests últims 6 mesos he pogut conèixer molt millor els voluntaris que m’envolten i he après molt parlant amb ells amb totes les diferents experiències i opinions que tenen. També he fet grans viatges a Barcelona moltes vegades, però també a la Costa Brava i a un seminari amb altres voluntaris d’altres projectes a Comarruga.
I, per descomptat, la feina ha canviat una mica. Els primers mesos del nostre projecte no vam treballar tantes hores, per diferents motius, que van suposar només unes poques hores al voltant de la gent de Fupar. Ara estem molt més al seu voltant, cosa que de tant en tant pot ser cansat i més desafiant, però ho gaudeixo més que abans. Puc contribuir més al projecte, establint connexions amb els participants i fent més impacte en comparació amb només veure’ls un cop per setmana. I tenir un dia lliure després d’una llarga setmana també significa molt més :).

Personalment, jo estava i encara estic lluitant amb la meva salut aquí, i per això també vaig haver de tornar a Alemanya durant un temps, però la gent de la qual estic envoltat em dóna suport i comprensió, per això estic molt agraït. Això em va impedir molt sortir i fer coses que hauria fet normalment, però era una de les maneres de millorar.

De moment estic content de poder seguir vivint aquí a Espanya i de tenir aquesta experiència que volia fer des de feia temps. Serà interessant veure què canviarà a la segona meitat del projecte ara, però de moment només estic intentant gaudir del procés i espero fer més coses amb les grans persones que he conegut al llarg del camí.

Hello everybody,

My name is Anton and I am a volunteer from Germany working in Fupar.

So it is my turn to write the article of this week.
The last time I was doing this it had only been I think 3 weeks into the project and since then some things have changed.
In these last 6 months I got to get to know the volunteers around me a lot better and learned a lot from talking with them with all of the different experiences and opinions they have. I also had great trips to Barcelona a lot of times, but also to Costa Brava and a seminar with other volunteers of other projects in Comarruga.
And of course work changed a bit. In the first few months of our project we did not work for that many hours, because of different reasons, which meant only a few hours around the people of Fupar. Now we are a lot more around them, which can be tiring and more challenging from time to time, but I enjoy it over all more than before. I am able to contribute more to the project, building connections with the participants and making more of an impact compared to just seeing them once a week. And having a day off after a long week means a lot more as well :).

Personally, I was and am still struggling with my health here, which is why I had to return to Germany for a while as well, but the people I am surrounded with are really supportive and understanding, which I am really grateful for. That stopped me a lot from going out and doing things I normally would have done, but I am one the way of getting better.

For now I am happy to be still able to be here in Spain and to have this experience I wanted to have for a long time. It is going to be interesting to see, what is going to change in the second half of the project now, but for now I am just trying to enjoy the process and looking forward to do more with the great people I met a long the way.
