Hola a tothom ! Fa 7 mesos que estic aquí a Espanya i no m’adono de lo ràpid que passa el temps!

No us amagaré que aquesta experiència és una mica com una muntanya russa. És difícil adonar-se de la sort que tenim d’estar aquí perquè s’ha convertit en el nostre dia a dia, i alhora no ho és gens i és estrany adonar-se’n.

En aquests pocs mesos hi ha hagut moments alts però també baixos, i encara que sovint em senti culpable dir-me que aquests moments baixos m’han impedit gaudir-ho, he de saber-ho acceptar. Acceptar perquè aquests moments potser són necessaris per ser millor després. Sovint m’he dit a mi mateixa que aquests moments difícils no tenen cabuda en aquesta experiència on la paraula clau és gaudir de cada moment. De fet, si no m’hagués ofert aquí com a voluntaria, aquests moments potser no haurien passat mai i, per tant, no hauria millorat mentalment.
Tot passa per un motiu, i cada experiència és diferent. Intento convèncer-me que els moments difícils poden ser tan constructius i útils com els bons. Crec en general que aquesta experiència m’està ajudant a guanyar més confiança en mi mateixa, m’està permetent créixer enormement i finalment obrir la meva ment cada cop més a noves experiències.

Des del meu últim article al novembre, he fet moltes coses, com ara celebrar el primer Nadal aquí a Espanya amb els voluntaris i la Víbria abans de tornar a França. Aquí vaig celebrar el meu aniversari amb la resta de voluntaris, començar les classes de bachata, visitar Tarragona, Andorra, Coma-ruga… I per descomptat moltes vetllades a Terrassa! Si hagués d’esmentar 4 esdeveniments molt interessants que van passar (n’hi ha molts més, però hem de prendre decisions :)), sens dubte diria:

• El 19 de gener va ser l’obertura oficial del Baumann Bar. Aquest bar marca l’inici de noves experiències amb la Mariam i l’Alexandra! De fet, cada dijous organitzem i acollim activitats interculturals obertes a tothom, com concursos, intercanvis lingüístics, presentacions dels països dels voluntaris, etc. i sempre és súper divertit, així ens podem trobar cada setmana amb els locals.

• El 14 de febrer vaig participar a l’enterro de la sardina on amb altres voluntaris vam representar els 7 pecats capitals amb una disfressa i una bandera del pecat en qüestió. Va ser súper divertit perquè vam desfilar per tot Terrassa i tothom ens va fer fotos perquè estàvem realment al cor de l’acte! Va ser súper enriquidor perquè em vaig sentir completament integrada a la comunitat i em sembla genial donar l’oportunitat als voluntaris de participar en aquest tipus de coses!!

• El 13 d’abril vaig anar al festival Rubi Centre (GRATUÏT) amb altres voluntaris i vam poder descobrir molts artistes i divertir-nos molt junts! A més hi havia un grup de francesos que hi era: Ofenbach, i va ser molt xulo amb un bon ambient en general.

• Del 22 al 26 d’abril, jo i altres voluntaris vam estar al Mid-term Meeting a Mollina (prop de Màlaga), que ens va permetre fer jocs, tallers, grups de discussió al voltant del voluntariat. Hi havia gairebé 90 voluntaris internacionals fent voluntariat arreu d’Espanya! Aquesta experiència va ser increïble perquè vam aprendre molt i ens vam beneficiar amb molts nous coneixements!!

Com que el voluntariat s’està acabant, m’agradaria visitar el màxim possible! Incloent museus de Barcelona com el Museu Picasso, visitar el Park Güell, per descomptat entrar a la Sagrada Familia, i moltes altres coses!!

Em sento nostàlgica escrivint tot això perquè és gairebé el final i tot i així tinc la impressió que el voluntariat va començar fa tot just 1 mes tot i que ja en fa 7 🥺 Tornaré segur i aquesta experiència em fa venir ganes de seguir tenint experiències a l’estranger com els intercanvis juvenils per exemple! Més enllà del fet que aprenem molt, és una manera real de conèixer gent d’arreu d’Europa i crec que és una oportunitat que tothom hauria d’aprofitar almenys una vegada a la vida!

Hello everybody ! I’ve been here in Spain for 7 months now, and I can’t realize how quickly time flies!

I won’t hide from you that this experience is a bit like a roller coaster. It’s difficult to realize how lucky we are to be here because it has become our daily life, and at the same time it’s not at all and it’s strange to realize that.

In these few months, there have been highs but also lows, and even if I often feel guilty telling myself that these lows may have prevented me from enjoying it, I have to know how to accept it. Accept because these moments are perhaps necessary to be better later. I have often said to myself that these difficult moments have no place in this experience where the key word is to enjoy every moment. In truth, if I hadn’t volunteered here these moments might never have happened and therefore I wouldn’t have improved mentally.
Everything happens for a reason, and every experience is different. I try to convince myself that difficult times can be as constructive and useful as good times. I think in general that this experience helped me gain more self-confidence, allowed me to grow enormously and finally to open my mind more and more to new experiences.

Since my last article in November, I have done a lot of things, like celebrating early Christmas here in Spain with the volunteers and vibria before returning to France. I celebrated my birthday here with the other volunteers, I went to visit Tarragona, Andorra, Coma-ruga… And of course many evenings in Terrassa! If I had to name 4 very cool events that happened (it’s not enough but you have to make choices :)), I would definitely say:

• On January 19, was the official opening of the Baumann Bar. This bar marks the start of new experiences with Mariam and Alexandra! In fact, every Thursday, we organize and host intercultural activities open to all, such as quizzes, language exchanges, presentations of the volunteers’ countries, etc. and it’s always super fun, so we can meet locals every week.

• On February 14, I participated in the entierro de la sardina where with other volunteers we represented the 7 deadly sins with a costume and a flag of the sin in question. It was super fun because we paraded all over Terrassa and everyone took photos of us because we were really at the heart of the event! It was super enriching because I felt completely integrated into the community, and I find it really great to give volunteers the chance to participate in this kind of thing!!

• On April 13, I went to the rubi center festival (FREE) with other volunteers and we were able to discover many artists and really have fun together! In addition there was a group of French people who were there: Ofenbach, and it was really super cool with a good atmosphere in general.

• From April 22 to 26, I and other volunteers were in mid-term training in Mollina (near Malaga), which allowed us to do games, workshops, discussion groups around volunteering. There were almost 90 international volunteers volunteering throughout Spain! This experience was incredible because we learned a lot and benefited with a lot of new knowledge!!

Since volunteering is coming to an end, I would like to visit as much as possible! Including Barcelona museums such as the Picasso Museum, visiting Park Güell, of course entering the Sagrada Familia, and many other things!!

I feel nostalgic writing all this because it’s almost the end and yet I have the impression that the volunteering started just 1 month ago even though it’s already 7 🥺 I will be back for sure and this experience makes me want to keep having experiences at abroad such as youth exchanges for example! Apart from the fact that we learn a lot, it’s a real way to meet people from all over Europe and I think it’s an opportunity that everyone should take at least once in their life!
