El temps passa ràpidament i ja és hora d’escriure el meu últim article sobre la meva experiència.

Abans de venir a Terrassa, vaig intentar imaginar-me com seria. Com probablement tothom tenia moltes expectatives però també pors. Ara puc dir que tot va ser completament diferent del que pensava. Però n’estic contenta i agraïda per cada moment aquí a Espanya. Vaig poder créixer i aprendre molt.

Treballar en un centre per a persones amb discapacitat, bàsicament sense experiència, pot ser un repte. Però tot i que de vegades pot ser difícil, també és un treball increïble que no hauria provat
sense aquest projecte. La gent que hi he conegut és la gent més bonica i agradable que he conegut mai. Cada dia em mostren amor i estima. Gràcies a ells he après que està bé cometre
errors i que no cal gaire per fer feliç algú. Com a voluntaria, estic aquí per estar amb ells, per gaudir del temps junts i per passar-ho bé. Em va costar una mica adonar-me’n, però des del moment que et diverteixes amb ells, vol dir que ho estàs fent molt bé. No tin pensait continuar treballant en aquest àmbit, pero com que m’ha agrada molt estar amb ells, estic pensant a fer voluntariat en un centre de Viena.

En general, estic agraïda per l’experiència i estic contenta d’haver decidit venir aquí. Vaig visitar altres llocs a Espanya, també he gaudit festes típiques de Catalunya i he après una mica d’espanyol i català. I per a mi una de les coses més importants, he fet amics increïbles que es quedaran fins i tot després del projecte.

Time flies quickly and it’s already time for me to write my last article about my experience.

Before I came to Terrassa, I tried to imagine what it will be like. Like probably everyone I had
expectations but also fears. Now I can say that it all came completely different than what I thought. But I’m happy about it and thankful for every moment here in Spain. I was able to grow and learn a lot.

Working in a center for people with disabilities, with basically no experience can be challenging. But even though it can be difficult sometimes, it’s also an amazing work which I wouldn’t have tried without this project. The people I’ve met there are the loveliest and nicest people I’ve ever met. Every day they show me love and appreciation. Thanks to them I learnt that it is okay to make mistakes and that it doesn’t need a lot to make someone happy. As I volunteer, I’m here to be with them, to enjoy time together and to have fun. It took me a while to realize but as long as you have fun with what you’re doing, you’re doing great. I don’t plan on keep working in this field, but because I enjoyed being with them so much, I’m thinking about volunteering in a center in Viena.

Overall I’m thankful for the experience and I’m glad I’ve decided to come here. I visited other places in Spain, celebrated fiestas that are typical for Catalunya and finally leant some Spanish and Catalan. And for me one of the most important thing, I’ve made amazing friends that will stay even after the project.
