Hola,

Estic vivint el meu últim mes a Catalunya com a voluntària del CES i el temps està passant volant.
Des de l’última vegada que vau llegir, he fet moltes coses noves.

Una de les meves aventures memorables és la meva primera calçotada. Tradició catalana on els amics es reuneixen i organitzen grans barbacoes, aquí s’hi fa una mena de ceba tendra a la brasa i es banya en una salsa vermella abans de dinar. Són delicioses.

Un altre dia inoblidable a Terrassa id PicNic Jazz, oh això va ser increïble, aquest va ser un concert de jazz al gran parc ple de gent asseguda a mantes i fent pícnic, va ser una experiència única i el lloc perfecte per ballar descalç sobre l’herba. Per ser fira Terrassa sempre ofereix un munt de concerts i esdeveniments, només cal mirar l’enorme festa de carrer de la Festa Major, mai he vist una celebració tan gran per a una ciutat, gloriosa diversió amb gran música!!

Com a part del meu projecte ESC vaig tenir l’oportunitat increïble d’anar a Màlaga durant una setmana, per a una avaluació a mitjà termini juntament amb centenars de voluntaris més per tota Espanya. Va ser una experiència inoblidable on vaig conèixer molta gent genuïna. Em va fer apreciar la bellesa de les persones que coneixes una vegada a la teva vida i sempre recordaran l’increïble temps que vas compartir junts. Vaig compartir moltes rialles amb Grazia, una bonica noia italiana que sempre tenia una broma a punt o una paraula de confort per donar.

També vaig tenir l’oportunitat de viatjar al sud d’Itàlia durant una setmana, per a un intercanvi juvenil a la natura, on em van acollir persones acollidores, vaig menjar deliciós i vaig veure noves localitzacions. Els amfitrions Francesca i Antonio eren com la figura dels pares que ens feien sentir com a casa, i ens recordaven la importància de la reconnexió de la natura. Això també em va permetre veure un amic meu que no he vist en dos anys, vaig estar realment agraïda.

De vegades vaig de càmping, a festes de techno, a la platja de la Costa Brava, a visitar museus o noves rutes de senderisme. Saps que és una vida bonica la vida d’un voluntari a Catalunya.

Ara estic en un període de la meva vida on he d’afrontar el repte del futur, on aquesta experiència acabarà i hi ha un incògnit sobre el que passarà a continuació en la meva vida. És bastant comú entre tots nosaltres i potser pot ser espantós, però també estic realment curiosa per les infinites possibilitats de les coses. Així que estem al final d’aquest capítol, però estic segura que un altre interessant està a punt de començar.

Hello

I am living my final month in Catalunya as a ESC volunteer and time is flying. Since the last time you’ve heard from me I did plenty new things.

One of my memorable adventures is my first calcotada. This Catalan tradition where friends gather and organise big barbecues, here some sort of spring onions are grilled and dipped in a red sauce before eating. They are delicious.

Another unforgettable day in Terrassa id PicNic Jazz, oh this was amazing, this was a jazz concert in the big park full of people sitting on blankets and having picnic, it was a unique experience and the perfect place to dance barefoot on the grass. To be fair Terrassa always offers a lot of concerts and events, just look at the huge street festival of Festa Major, I have never seen such a big celebration for a city, glorious fun with great music!!

As part of my ESC project I had the amazing opportunity to go to Malaga for a week, for a Mid term evaluation along with hundred more volunteers around Spain. It was an unforgettable experience where I met lots of genuine people. It made me appreciate the beauty of the people who you meet once in your lifetime and will always remember the amazing time you shared together. I shared a lot of laughter with Grazia, a lovely Italian girl who always had a joke ready or a word of comfort to give.

I also had the opportunity to travel to the south of Italy for a week, for a Youth exchange in nature, where I was hosted by welcoming people, I ate delicious food and seen new locations. The hosts Francesca and Antonio were like parents figure who made us feel like at home, and they reminded us the importance of nature reconnection. This also allowed me to see a friend of mine whom I have not seen in two years, truly grateful.

Sometimes I go camping, sometimes I go to techno parties, sometimes I go to the beach in Costa Brava, sometimes I visit museums, or new hiking trails. You know is a beautiful life the life of a volunteer in Catalunya.

Now I am in a period of my life where I have to face the challenge of the future, where this experience will finish and there is an incognito about what will happen next in my life. Is pretty common among all of us and perhaps it can be scary, however I am also really curious to the infinite possibilities of things. So we are towards the end of this chapter but I am sure another exciting one is about to start.
