I’m Liam 🇫🇷 and I am volunteering at Escola de Natura in Terrassa !

L’Escola de Natura

L’Escola de Natura és una petita granja a la ciutat que organitza diverses activitats relacionades amb el medi ambient per a nens i diferents grups.

La meva feina allà és ajudar a cuidar els animals i el lloc, preparar i dirigir activitats, així com ajudar a fer la escola més coneguda fent fotos per Instagram o creant horaris i compartint-los al web.

Escola de natura

Escola de natura is a small farm in the city that puts in place various activities around the environment for kids and different groups.

My work there is to help take care of the animals and place, prepare and lead activities, as well as help make the school more famous by taking pictures for Instagram or making schedules and sharing them on the website.

Voluntariat

Com a voluntari, puc compartir un pis amb altres voluntaris, i tot i que és molt divertit, ve amb tots els pros i contres. Sortosament, estic en un pis que és força agradable! Estava molt ansiós per la idea, però ara em sento tranquil sabent que, en cas de problemes, sempre hi ha gent per ajudar-te!

Vaig començar el meu voluntariat fa dues setmanes, i mai m’he sentit avorrit, tot el contrari.

Passo els caps de setmana a fora, normalment a Barcelona, on hi ha tant per fer i veure que em sembla que 6 mesos no seran suficients.

Volunteering

As a volunteer I get to share an apartment with other volunteers, and while it is really fun it comes with all the pros and cons, thankfully I am in an apartment that is quite nice ! I was really anxious about the idea but now I feel reassured to know that in case of problems there are always people to help you !

I started my volunteering 2 weeks ago, and I have never felt bored, quite the opposite.

I spend my weekends outside, usually in Barcelona, where there is so much to do and see that I feel like 6 months won’t be enough.

Tinc moltes ganes de continuar la meva aventura, i si tens dubtes sobre la idea de fer voluntariat, només et dono un consell: fes-ho! Tant si tens una edat, sexe o habilitats diferents… Fes-ho!

I am looking forward to the rest of my adventure, and if you are doubting the idea of volunteering yourself, I only have one piece of advice, do it ! Whatever your age, sex, skills… Just do it !
