🟨🟥🟨🟥🟨Hola!

Em dic Zeynep, tinc 25 anys i soc de Turquia 🇹🇷. Viure a l’estranger durant un temps era una cosa que m’interessava. Una cosa que he notat sobre viure a l’estranger aquests darrers anys és que la gent pot sentir-se sola o tenir dificultats. Per a mi, els avantatges de començar una nova aventura sempre superen els inconvenients (: Crec que els meus altres 3 meravellosos companys de pis voluntaris i jo som valents i apassionats! Sens dubte ho som!

La Vibria et dóna moltes oportunitats per conèixer diferents cultures. Recordo haver-me sentit molt bé després de la reunió en línia amb l’Ailen perquè les nostres expectatives eren molt similars.

El meu company de pis i jo treballem amb alguns nens increïbles al CRAE Pere Quart. Fem activitats amb ells quan tornen de l’escola i els caps de setmana. El que més m’agrada és començar un joc jo mateixa i veure’ls involucrar-se i unir-se. També tenim moments divertits com quan ells m’ensenyen espanyol/català i jo els ensenyo anglès.

Fa 3 setmanes que visc a Mataró/Barcelona. És un barri bonic de la comarca del Maresme, entre les muntanyes i el mar. No hi ha molts turistes i generalment es veuen gent local que és càlida i amable. Una vegada vaig anar a una cafeteria i vaig demanar en català, em va agradar poder comunicar-me amb la gent local.
Em sento feliç de fer el meu projecte ESC aquí. Una altra cosa que he notat fins ara és que, encara que la gent tingui problemes, sempre acaben el dia passant-s’ho bé! M’agrada això.

He estat caminant pel passeig marítim de Mataró al matí. Hi ha molta gent corrent i caminant, em motiva molt. També Montserrat i Sant Llorenç del Munt, vindré a vosaltres per fer senderisme o acampada…

Em sento molt afortunada i emocionada de poder combinar el meu amor pels nens amb un projecte i un intercanvi cultural com aquest. Estic segura que recordaré aquests 10 mesos durant la resta de la meva vida!

My name is Zeynep, I am 25 years old and from Turkey 🇹🇷. Living abroad for a while was something that interested me. One thing I’ve noticed about living abroad in recent years is that people can get lonely or struggle. For me, the pros of starting a new adventure
always outweigh the cons (: I think my 3 other wonderful volunteer roommates and I are brave and passionate! We definitely are!

La Vibria offers you many opportunities to experience different cultures. I remember feeling very good after the online meeting with Ailen because our expectations were very similar.

My flatmate and I work with some amazing kids at CRAE Pere Quart.
We have activities to do with them when they come from school and on the weekends. My favourite thing is to start a game myself and see them engage and join in. We also have some fun moments like them teaching me Spanish/Catalan and me teaching them English.

I have been living in the Mataro/Barcelona for 3 weeks. It’s nice district in the Maresme district between the mountains and the sea.
There are not many tourists and you generally see local people and they are warm and friendly. One time I went to a cafe and ordered in Catalan, I liked being able to communicate with locals.
I feel happy to do my ESC project here. Another thing I noticed so far is that even if people have problems, they always end the day having fun! I like this.

I have been walking on Mataro beach in the mornings. There are so many people running and walking, it motivates me a lot. Also Montserrat and Sant Llorenç del Munt, I will come to you for hiking or camping…

I feel really lucky and amazing to combine my love for children with such a project and cultural exchange. I am sure I will remember these 10 months for the rest of my life!
