fa tant de temps que no escrivia, però sembla que només han passat uns quants dies.

Han passat moltes coses des de desembre. Les festes, tornar a casa un temps, noves descobertes, més claredat i hàbits diferents… Aquí tens una petita visió de la meva vida darrerament, que ho gaudeixis!

such a long time without writing but it felt like a couple of days. 

So much has happened since December. The holidays, going back home for a bit, new discoveries, more clarity and different habits… Here you have a little vision of my life lately, enjoy!

La feina segueix sent molt maca. Cada dia em sento més i més connectada amb les persones amb qui treballo, més segura de mi mateixa i fins i tot més relaxada amb les meves tasques. També he començat a parlar més i més català i de vegades m’aturen a pensar en el meu progrés.

Un dels esdeveniments més grans a Prodis és el Carnaval. Vaig tenir l’oportunitat d’unir-me a la desfilada per la ciutat amb uns nois realment increïbles i l’honor de portar roba feta a mà que ells van fer durant els mesos anteriors. Va ser una experiència genial. Amb Prodis, també vaig poder visitar alguns museus anant amb els usuaris.

Work keeps being very nice. Every day I feel more and more connected to the people I work with, more secure about myself and even more easy going about my tasks. I also started to speak more and more catalan and I sometimes stop to think about my progress. 

One of the biggest events in Prodis is Carnival. I had the opportunity to join the parade around the city with some really incredible guys and the honor of wearing some hand made clothes that they did during the previous months. It was such a cool experience. With Prodis, I was also able to visit some museums by going with the users. 

Una altra cosa molt gran a Terrassa és l’”Enterrament de la Sardina”, un funeral de l’època del Carnaval on, al final de la cerimònia, és tradició trobar-se i menjar pa amb sardines a la brasa. Vaig tenir el plaer de participar-hi com un dels set pecats capitals.

D’alguna manera, fins i tot em vaig unir a Terrassa Tria Futur i vaig enregistrar un episodi en directe del podcast (estigueu atents perquè aquesta mateixa setmana m’han acollit a La Vibria per gravar el meu propi episodi que sortirà aviat) parlant de la meva experiència com a voluntària amb alguns amics.

Another very big thing in Terrassa is the “Enterrament de la Sardina”, a funeral of the Carnival era where, at the end of the ceremony, it’s tradition to meet and eat bread with roasted sardines. I had the pleasure to join as one of the seven deadly sins. 

Somehow I even joined the Terrassa Tria Futur and registered a live episode of the podcast (stay tuned because this very week I have been hosted by La Vibria to record my own one that will be out soon) talking about my experience as a volunteer with some friends.

A nivell personal, vaig aconseguir la part teòrica del carnet de conduir i vaig començar la sol·licitud oficial per a la universitat (està a punt de fer els PCEs en les properes setmanes, creuem els dits). He tornat a començar la meva activitat regular a la Creu Roja local amb un nou projecte que implica nens i les seves mares, i ara vaig cada dimarts després de la feina. He descobert que m’agrada molt anar a l’Estadi i fins ara hi he estat dues vegades per veure jugar l’equip femení del Barça.

Ara que els dies són més llargs, i tècnicament hauria de fer més calor (spoiler: aquestes últimes setmanes han estat molt plujoses), és hora de gaudir dels caps de setmana a la vora del mar i amb la Jola vam començar el primer de molts dies prenent el sol a la platja.

At a personal level I achieved the theoretical part of the driving licence and started the official application for university (about to do the PCEs in the next weeks, fingers crossed). I restarted my regular activity at the local red cross with a new project involving kids and their moms and now I’m going there every Tuesday after work. I discovered that I really enjoy to go to the Stadium and until now I have been there twice to see Barça’s feminine football team playing. 

Now that the days are longer, and technically it should be warmer (spoiler: these last few weeks have been really rainy), it’s time to enjoy the weekends at the seaside and with Jola we started the first of many days sunbathing at the beach. 

Estic molt convençuda que ara tindran lloc moltes més aventures i no puc esperar a compartir-les amb vosaltres, però suposo que haurem d’esperar per descobrir-les junts. És el que hi ha!
