🟨🟥🟨🟥🟨Hola!

Sóc la Zeynep. Tinc 26 anys i sóc de Turquia 🇹🇷. Fa uns mesos que estic a Mataró. S’ha convertit en un lloc que trobo a faltar quan visito una altra ciutat! Hem començat a conèixer-nos amb els propietaris de les cafeteries i supermercats del barri. Això em fa sentir més part de Mataró. Puc dir el mateix de Pere Quart, on continuo fent voluntariat. M’he acostumat molt a passar temps amb els nens d’allà! Continuem fent activitats d’anglès i castellà amb ells. Gràcies a ells, sento de debò que estic millorant el meu castellà! Com que vaig amb ells quan surten de l’escola, tinc molt de temps lliure al matí. Continuo ajudant els nens amb les seves tasques diàries i m’ho passo molt bé amb ells.

De vegades vaig a la botiga de croissants o a la platja amb la meva llibreta i el portàtil per estudiar castellà. M’agrada passar el meu temps lliure així. Quan la gent parla en català, puc dir que entenc algunes paraules (: M’agrada encara més passar temps amb les meves companyes de pis, la Giulia, l’Elisavet i la Giulia, perquè ens coneixem millor. En general, he començat a conèixer millor Catalunya, la llengua ja no és un problema com abans i encara vaig a Pere Quart amb la mateixa il·lusió! I el més important: continuo pensant que fer de voluntària ha estat una de les millors decisions que he pres mai.

🇬🇧 Hola!

I’m Zeynep. I am 26 years old and from Turkey 🇹🇷. It’s been a few months since I’ve been to Mataro. It’s become a place I miss when I visit another city! We’ve started to get to know each other with the owners of the coffee shops and supermarkets in the neighborhood. This makes me feel more like a part of Mataro. I can say the same thing about Pere Quart, where I continue to volunteer. I’ve really gotten used to spending time with the kids there! We continue our English-Spanish activities with them. Thanks to them, I really feel like I’m improving my Spanish! Since I go to them when they get home from school, I have plenty of free time in the morning. I continue to help the kids with their daily tasks and have fun with them. 

Sometimes I go to the croissant shop or the beach with my notebook and laptop and study Spanish. I like to spend my free time this way. When people speak Catalan, I can say I can catch a few words (: I like spending time with my flatmates Giulia, Elisavet and Giulia even more now because we know each other better. In general, I started to know Catalunya better, language is not a problem as before and I still go to Pere Quart with the same excitement! And most importantly, I still think that working as a volunteer was one of the best decisions I ever made.
