HELLO I’M ANASTASIA!

A 26 years old girl, from a beautiful Greek island called Rhodes! I am going to share with you my previous week’s experience as a volunteer living in Terrassa. The previous week started dynamically as all of us were getting prepared for the international women’s day! Specifically, on Tuesday the 8th of March our Vibria team organised a gathering in order to create beautiful things for this day’s demonstration. We created some posters with meaningful messages! In the poster that I made, I wrote: NOS QUIEREN ENEMIGAS NOS TENDRAN HERMANAS! However, after I finished my creation, I realised that instead of “hermanas” I wrote “hernanas”. I laughed a lot, especially every time I was thinking about how many people took a photo of my poster! But the most important thing for me is that my intentions were more meaningful than my grammatical mistakes!

On thursday we had the chance to visit a high school and talk about our volunteering experience! It was very interesting for me to talk to younger people about volunteering and the reasons that motivate me to be where I am now! Volunteering is such a valuable experience which ,I believe, has made me a better human!

Moving on, I should also inform you about my gastronomic trip on Friday and Sunday. The first “stop” of my trip on friday included delicious spanish food that we shared with the team and some partners from other countries! I ate a lot of tortilla de patatas as well as croquetas!

Last but not least, was my second “stop” to the ‘Intercooltural meeting’ that the Vibrialab organised! The volunteers cooked and brought well known dishes from their countries and we had the chance to try a huge diversity of food. We also had a great time playing games and dancing. I am grateful for these moments and looking forward to the new ones!

HOLA sóc ANASTASIA!

Una noia de 26 anys, d’una preciosa illa grega anomenada Rodes! Vaig a compartir amb vosaltres la meva experiència de la setmana anterior com a voluntaria vivint a Terrassa. La setmana anterior va començar dinàmicament, ja que tots ens anàvem preparant per al dia internacional de la dona! Concretament, el dimarts 8 de març el nostre equip de la Vibria va organitzar una trobada per tal de crear coses boniques per a la manifestació d’aquest dia. Hem creat uns pòsters amb missatges significatius! En el cartell que vaig fer hi vaig escriure: NOS QUIEREN ENEMIGAS NOS TENDRAN HERMANAS! Tanmateix, després d’acabar la meva creació, em vaig adonar que en comptes de “hermanas” escrivia “hernanas”. Vaig riure molt, sobretot cada cop que pensava en quanta gent feia una foto al meu cartell! Però el més important per a mi és que les meves intencions eren més significatives que els meus errors gramaticals!

Dijous vam tenir l’oportunitat de visitar un institut i parlar de la nostra experiència de voluntariat! Va ser molt interessant per a mi parlar amb els més joves sobre el voluntariat i els motius que em motiven a ser on sóc ara! El voluntariat és una experiència tan valuosa que, crec, m’ha fet un millor esser humà!

Passant endavant, també us hauria d’informar del meu viatge gastronòmic divendres i diumenge. La primera “parada” del meu viatge del divendres va incloure un deliciós menjar espanyol que vam compartir amb l’equip i alguns socis d’altres països! Vaig menjar molta truita de patates i també croquetes!

Finalment, però no menys important, va ser la meva segona “parada” a la ‘Intercooltural meeting’ que va organitzar el Vibrialab! Els voluntaris van cuinar i van portar plats coneguts dels seus països i vam tenir l’oportunitat de provar una gran diversitat de menjar. També ens ho vam passar molt bé fent jocs i ballant. Estic agraïda per aquests moments i espero amb ganes de nous!
