Hola a tothom! Em dic Vidar, sóc de Suècia, d’Estocolm, i tinc 18 anys. 

Estic aquí a Terrassa fent de voluntari a LaFACT Fupar (La Factoria Social de Terrassa). A Fupar fem activitats amb persones amb discapacitat psíquica, moltes d’elles esportives. Fins ara hem jugat a futbol, ​​hoquei, bàsquet, petanca i córrer. I la setmana vinent començarem amb activitats de lleure, que són activitats no esportives. 

Mai havia jugat a hoquei, així que al principi va ser bastant difícil, però tot i que ara ho porto una mica millor encara no és fàcil. A més, el camp d’hoquei està al mig del sol sense cap ombra, de manera que fa molta calor durant aquests entrenaments. 

Crec que entenc molt bé el castellà, però és més difícil quan tens una conversa real amb una persona que parla espanyol. Sovint he de demanar que repeteixi, però a part d’això l’idioma funciona força bé. Espero que quan acabi amb el voluntariat entengui i parli amb fluïdesa.

 Els caps de setmana acostumen a fer-se competicions esportives, i jo n’he assistit a una, una cursa: La cursa Fanny Sallés. Es tracta d’una cursa de cinc quilòmetres per Terrassa, en la qual hem participat les persones que assisteixen a l’activitat de córrer, i jo amb elles. Va ser divertit! 

Ja fa un mes que som aquí, així que he conegut bastant el nostre entorn. Per descomptat que he visitat Barcelona, ​​més d’una vegada: aquesta setmana he explorat una mica més lluny. Alguns dels voluntaris vam anar a Sitges, vam estar-hi un dia a la platja i vam veure la ciutat. Després vam menjar veient la posta de sol. 

També he conegut millor la natura propera de Terrassa, ja que hem pujat a la Mola, una muntanya als afores de Terrassa. Ens va donar una vista magnífica, vam poder veure tot el camí fins a Barcelona (encara que era molt lluny)! Feia força calor però vam aguantar 💪. El mateix dia al vespre vam celebrar el nostre primer mes d’aniversari amb un pastís al terrat d’un dels apartaments on vivim.

Hello everybody! 

My name is Vidar, I am from Sweden, from Stockholm, and I am 18 years old. 

I am here in Terrassa volunteering at LaFACT (La Factoria Social de Terrassa) Fupar. At Fupar we do activities with people with mental disabilities, many of them sports. Until now we have played soccer, hockey, basketball, boule and running. And Next week we will start with leisure activities, which are none-sports activities. 

I had never played hockey before, so that was quite difficult in the beggining, but now I get it a bit better but it still is not easy. Also, the hockey field is in the middle of the sun without any shade, so it gets really hot during those trainings. 

I thougth I understand Spanish very well, but it is more difficult when you are having an actual conversation with a Spanish speaking person. Often I need to ask for repeating, but other than that the language is working quite well. I expect when I am done with the volunteering to understand and speak fluently. 

Weekends there are usually sports competitions, and I have attended one, a running race: The Fanny Sallés race. It is a five kilometer race through Terrassa, in which the people who attend the running activity participated, and me with them. It was fun! 

We’ve been here for a month now, so I’ve gotten to know our surroundings quite a bit. Of course I have visited Barcelona, ​​more than once: This week I explored a little further away. We were some of the volunteers who went to Sitges, and we spent a day there on the beach and saw the city. Then we ate in the sunset. 

I have also gotten to know the nearby nature of Terrassa better, as we have climbed La Mola, a mountain just outside of Terrassa. It gave us a magnificent view, we could see all the way to Barcelona (although very far away)! It was quite hot but we endured 💪. On the same day in the evening we celebrated our one month anniversary with a cake on the roof of one of the apartments where we live.
