Senyores i senyors,
SoluciĂł: no puc.
TambĂ© he fet excursions a La Mola i Montserrat amb altres voluntaris, on he viscut paisatges i records inoblidables.

Ladies and gentlemen,
Dear future volunteer,
before diving into this stream of consciousness in written version, I carefully reread myprevious diary piece in December and the recent ones of the other volunteers. Then I havescrolled through my gallery, pics and videos, and this is the main thought: madre mĂa, somany things…how can I summarise them all in a few lines?
Solution: I can’t.
Despite this, I’ll try to let you immerge in my big-little world of previous three months.
After a December filled with travel, family, and Christmas dinners, January began with the usual New Year’s resolutions and challenges. Personally, I love to reflect on my priorities and goals for the year before it begins. This year, however, I tried to do so in a more realistic and sustainable way. Of course, the usual unrealistic 12 books to read in a year are still there, but I think that taking care of my balance and a more balanced pace of life has helped me start 2026 on the right foot.
Since I returned to Terrassa on January 5, I have managed to get the feared NIE (the tax identification number in Spain for foreigners, which is essential for working here), I have been trekking in La Mola and Montserrat with other volunteers, where I have unforgettable landscapes and memories, and I have continued with the organization of the dijous intercoolturals, despite the difficulties of changing location.

He viatjat i he tingut l’oportunitat de visitar Mallorca, Sitges, València i Mollina.
I traveled, having the opportunity to visit Mallorca, Sitges, Valencia, and Mollina. The latter is a small town in Andalusia where we did our mid-term training, us, the “Terrassa group,” along with 70 other volunteers who are doing their ESC throughout Spain. These and many other adventures, from the most everyday to the most unexpected, from the simplest to the most challenging, have allowed me to test myself, to put myself out there and, above all, to deepen my knowledge and relationship with some of the people I have met during this volunteer work here in Terrassa. I am grateful that, for some unknown reason, our paths have crossed at this exact moment in our lives, because they are adding new shades to the canvas of my personal journey.

Of course, not everything is perfect.
Getting to know someone better also means noticing their negative sides, annoyances, andinconsistencies. But that is exactly the beauty of the cocktail of cultures that we are, and I couldn’t be happier about it.
Lately, I have also been having deep conversations with some of the people I am closest to emotionally. We talk and share our fears about the future.
Should I stay here? Should I go back? Should I apply for that master’s degree? What if we bought a house in Mallorca? (clearly daydreaming) What if we went to live in Barcelona for a while? We feel “stuck in life,” we hug each other, We make fun of each other, play and sing with the ukulele, or just sit together in silence.
Then, however, we reflect on all the progress we have made in such a short time. From not being able to express ourselves well in spanish to being guests every month on the radio program El Submarin in Terrassa. From not knowing anyone to trusting our roommates. From starting Catalan lessons from scratch to going for coffee with our teacher on the last day of class. From seeing how things work at the VibrĂa office to planning our Youth Exchange.
Many questions and ideas swirl around in my head every day. I still have few answers, but what I do know is that it’s okay because I have no shortage of desire to do and discover new things. And as long as I have the desire to grow, this volunteer work in Terrassa can only bring me new people and new unforgettable moments
